Kicked off from Moore at 6.50 am, which turned out to be about 5 minutes too late. Arrived at Preston Brook tunnel at gone 7.45am, which was too far past the end of the 10 minute slot to enter the tunnel. Sat and waited until 8.30am to enter and, of course, no other boat came through Northbound so I would have been all right. Saltersford Tunnel now has a timed entry system like Preston Brook (Northbound xx00-xx20, Southbound xx30-xx50). Presumably they had an incident or two with boats entering when the tunnel wasn't clear and meeting in the middle. Cleared the third tunnel (Barnton) by 10.45am, and moored below Middlewich Big Lock at 2.10pm. Terry Streeter NB Arun - Middlewich
