On our travels this year we heard seven cuckoos and one Nightingale. The 
number of Cuckoos compares with two last year. The only problem was that each 
managed a few calls and moved on. Meanwhile the nightingale (on the Oxford 
canal) sang all night and was still going on and off in the day though, when we 
returned some days later to the same mooring, it had moved on - maybe due to 
the persistant rain.

Cant hear a Nightingale but we heard a Cuckoo here over a week ago.
