Whilst working lock 16 on the Wolves 21 last Saturday after dropping
the top paddles I turned to walk to the tail, sun was full in my face
and down I went! I had walked straight into one of the fresh unpainted
wooden square bollard. And yes I was injured. These stupid items are
fitted not in the grass as apparently agreed with Wolverhamptons
conservation office but right in the walkway. How stupid can BW get?
They dont show up well in bright sunlight, god knows how you see them
in the dark. Plus, the posts are squre, ropes dont move freely, it
wont be long before a boat gets hung up. At least painting them would
help.
