The wife - pushing beam with what god gave her - stepped away (job done) from
one beam to find her trousers only came with her with a ripping sound. The ends
of the BW pins holding a (long gone) notice neatly placed in the pushing zone
had rusted away leaving the pointed shafts sticking out. A real BW H&S hazard.
No point in writing to them though and as she carried no pliers the best she
could do was knock the things into the beam with her (Rochdale) windlass.

That's because they're laminated paper held in with tacks, and will
last about as long as the last ise cream at a kid's party.

Ditto the bridge names all over the place.

All the best

There are no strangers on the cut, only boaters we've yet to meet.
