TRIWV or Technical Requirements of Inland Waterway Vessels Directive 2006/87/EC.
For those interested or following this topic over the last couple of years, I have updated my web site - http://users.skynet.be/sky34301/triwv.html with a couple of things. 1) I have included links to the latest comprehensive amendment to the Directive that came out a few days ago. Please note that it is expect that two further comprehensive amendments will be issued by the end of this year. and 2) Directive 2006/87/EC is rather a daunting read and therefore I have compiled some flow charts as an aid to try and help understand the complexities of the Directive. I had some difficulty in compiling them and suspect that the logic flow may still have some errors!!! I have been invited to attend a three day meeting at the end of this month with the European Commission to discuss the topic of the TRIWV and its effect on recreational craft and therefore if anyone has ***constructive*** comments that they wish raised/aired then please contact me on - michael dot clarke at skynet dot be -- Michael Clarke
