This looks like an Admiralty 27' whaler, a standard warships' boat in WWII and available in large numbers as surplus post-war - I think most Sea Scouts and CCFs got one or two (my CCF did and it was fairly grotty even in those days). I'm sure there are well-preserved examples about, so sadly I doubt this one is worth saving.
