Turn the pump off and open a tap to release the pressure in the  
system. The pressure in the accumulator should be just over 20 psi,  
so that the accumulator makes the most contribution to the flow of  
water before the pump cuts in.

Then close the tap and turn the pump on. When it stops the pressure  
in the accumulator should be 40 psi.
