If  George approved your "advert" - reasonably he should approve Laurences. 

There is therefore no relevance in your questions re rule change and permission.

I am a list member who has no objection and indeed welcomes being informed of 
such "news".  I feel I am in the majority.

My only gripe with Mr Hogg would be that he capilised the subject header - 
naughty !
