I think there may be some confusion here between Local User Group meetings and national User Group consultation meetings. > As far as I am aware, south of the border, User Groups are made up of reps > from the "recognised" organisations- IWA, NABO, RBOA, DBA etc and presumably > these reps respond after having consulted the members of their organisation > :-) The Local User Group meetings, in the North West anyway, are attended by representatives from local IWA groups, canal societies, angling clubs, cruising clubs, waterways businesses, etc. as well as some representing smaller or more localised interests. The national User Group consultation, by which I assume Adrian means the Waterway User and Special Interest Groups (WUSIG) meeting, involves representatives from "recognised" national user groups, such as those you mention. I wonder which group Adrian was representing? The minutes of the last meeting seem to omit that detail: http://www.britishwaterways.co.uk/media/documents/WUSIG_Meeting_April_09.pdf -- Martin Clark Pennine Waterways Website http://www.penninewaterways.co.uk
