AFAICS, should work; as far as your phone is concerned, you are making  
a UK geographic call.

Have a look at the LocalPhone site associated with 0800B. It's  
actually the opriginal service, and the 0800 thing is a spin off.

You set up an account with them, foc but put in £5 credit, and for  
each oversea number you want to call, they allocate you a UK geo  
number.  Charges for IRL numbers here:

http://www.localphone.com/call/ireland (hm, looks quite expensive for  
mobiles.)

They also do a VoIP deal.
