Keep your fingers crossed that it works out to our (for which read *her*)
liking then 'cos if we buy a wee yachet there'll be the odd invite to come
and crew in the offing :-)

11, oddly enough, was the age I started sailing too - albeit in a Cadet
dinghy on the local reservoir. Mind you, apart from a couple of (probably
redundant) winches, the rig on the Moody is about as complex (i.e.; not
complex at all) as the rig on that dinghy. 5 bits of string to pull on and a
stick to waggle about - that's about it.

Some of the stuff I sailed later on had several extraneous go faster strings
but I had a look at a modern Fireball a few years back and it looked like an
explosion in a rope factory! I've no idea what half the damn lines actually
do but since they're all colour coded it looked very pretty :-)
