Strewth. A Darwin award entry indeed, and an amazing escape, thanks to what sounds like superb seamanship by the lifeboat crew. Imagine doing a square search pattern in those conditions, and all volunteers, BW please note. I don't possess the books, so don't know if they do, but shouldn't the likes of the Narrow Dog to... series have huge safety warnings on the cover?
