said that it is wrong to deny *all* prisoners the right to vote.

This is not qute the same as saying that it is wrong to deny *every*
prisoner the right to vote.

A subtle but important difference.

But I express no views - and suggest that we don't have a long
off-topic discussion on penal reform.

Unless perhaps lags could earn the right to vote through canal restoration.
