'Wyrd' is presently just west of Pewsey on the K&A, moored up at Wilcot
and adjacent to a very useful lane that runs alongside the canal.

There are a few boats dotted along this stretch of water, some of which
use the lane to park up on (as I did last week). Having a chat - as one
does - I was warned that the 'Phantom P*sser' (sorry ladies!) had been
marking down the registration numbers of both boats and cars, presumably
- to my way of thinking anyway - to check up on people who might be
overstaying their welcome there. But, before he drove on I was warned
that this chap has a bad habit of returning late at night and, ahem,
'marking' the driver's door handle..

"What, like this?", asked I (in all innocence) when the penny dropped
(excuse the pun) - "Yes, *just* like that" gurgled the response ...

Well - what an absolute plonker this guy has to be (apart from having
some form of mental disability).

He is, apparently, rumoured to be a local councillor, with a 'habit'
stretching back many years, who lives very locally (possibly in the
house just up the road, with all the 'No Parking' signs on his walls,
who also mows the verge opposite and then furnishes his new 'lawn' with
big rocks to prevent just such an occurrence) and who walks his dogs
along the lane - and, if my car is typical, he also collects the dogs
faeces and then, carefully, places them around the driver's door and the
boot areas.

Being rather put out over this I stuck a sign inside the car door asking
him to do up his flies before facing my 'nature' videocam in future -
and I haven't seen him, or his dogs, since .. lol .. but if I do manage
to get some evidence that it *is* this guy then I am very tempted to
take retaliatory action - probably in the form of the contents of a full
vacuum loo cassette, 'accidentally' spilt down his own front door :-((

Word on the Cut seems to indicate that he is quite happy to chat to
boaters in the local, and he has never complained about them parking in
the lane (at least, not to their faces).

Has anybody else suffered from this guy before - or had something
similar happen elsewhere?

Trevor.
(Apologies if you read this twice as I also posted it on Cutweb)
