Forget previous post. Answered my own question - Google Maps UK gives walking directions.
----------------------------------- I've convinced one of my friends to come over and do a short canal trip on the South Oxford this August. They would like to walk from the canal to Blenheim Palace. Nicholson's simply says its three miles from Shipton, and I can see from Google Earth that there are roads one would walk to get there.
