I've never had problems with air in the fuel pump, but air running through to the injectors have caused them to stop. The other day air in one stopped fuel getting through at all in that cylinder. The other one kept working (hard) while I released the air by slackening off the compression nut to the other injector. Found out which cylinder it was by (at low revs) using the valve lifters. I do have gravity feed through the fuel filters to the pump, but if the fuel pump definately works then thats unlikely to be a problem. You've checked other obvious things like the fuel filter, and that the connections to the injecter are sound? Could it also be compression? Try hand cranking the engine over with the valve lifters lifted on the other cyclinders in turn. If there is a weezing and it goes over compression easily that may be your problem. Does it still flutter at higher revs? I assume like mine the air filter is some large holes in a muffler. You should still head down to Tarleton for the experience, a very strange place, where the cut almost meets the sea.
