It isn't. It used to be but not any more (it was one of the anomalies in law that was swept away in the big clear out of archaic and anomalous laws a few years ago) Likewise a London Cabby no longer has to carry a bale of hay for his horse, nor does he have to shield a police officer needing to answer a call of nature with his cape and a freeman of the City of London cannot, despite the current adverts on TV, drive a flock of geese down Cheapside! And you can put away the bow and arrows now that it's no longer the law that all adult men must practice archery on a Sunday Etcetera, etcetera, etcetera! Cheers Bru
