Hi All, watchout there is a lucker about,

the boat being talked about it a 60ft Evans & Son built in 2000 named 'Edgewood
Dirk' and is powered by a relatively rare Thornycroft RJ2 water-cooled engine.

how do i know this - I have as a marine surveyor carried out an insurance
valuation for them and also a BSS for these friends of mine.

very good to see that the Beeb are showing nice pictures of the canal system
and boats.

best regards to all,

iain jones

I'm with Roger on this. Easily mistaken for a Hudson - especially with
those washers tacked on round the bow, but on reflection the bow lines
aren't right. I have never made any great study on Hudson front lamps,
so couldn't comment on Andrew's observation. Just noticed that the
washers are only around the bow and not all down the sides. Never seen
a Hudson like that. Surely he didn't run out of washers part way
  through the build!
