A Lister engine question (Mr Millin may go to next email if he feels
nausea {;-) )

Lister HR2 vintage 1982:

Question: On the engine oil dipstick on Python there are two marks close
together near the end on one side of the (3 feet long) dipstick, and one on
the other a single mark a long way from the end. Am I correct in assuming
that the two marks close together mark the min and max levels for engine
oil, or is the mark on the other side significant to oil level? I have used
the two close together marks as the relevant indicators, am I OK or is an
engine seizure imminent?

The dipstick is located above and in the middle of the cooling air outlet
trunking connector on the LH side (looking forward) side of the engine.

I look forward to an undamaged engine.

Arthur Naylor
