I have an X1 extreme gen 5, a similar system. I'm on the oem kernel 5.17 and nvidia driver 535. Whenever I plug in my thinkpad thunderbolt 4 dock, I experience system instabilities. I lose connectivity to my bluetooth mouse and cannot access the internet, although the settings will indicate I am connected to wifi and my bluetooth mouse. When this occurs, I can't even execute terminal commands like "sudo reboot", I just see a blinking cursor on terminal. This problem goes away if I force restart the computer with the dock plugged in.
