Here are a couple of really ugly workarounds if like me you have to have embedded PDFs in FireFox.
1 add an application launcher to the panel with the code killall npviewer.bin click on it when acroread freezes up and then refresh your page 2 switch to the 32 bit version of Ubuntu 3 Remove RAM to 3GB or under (this working indicates that nswrapper is not working properly) I know none of these are great options but as this is a closed source project we will have to wait for Adobe to fix acroread and that might be a while. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Canonical Partner Developers, which is subscribed to acroread in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/571247 Title: acroread remains zombie, so pdfs won't be rendered anymore _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~canonical-partner-dev Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~canonical-partner-dev More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
