Title:
Disable shiftfs related tests in ubuntu_overlayfs_smoke_test for 6.5
Status in ubuntu-kernel-tests:
Fix Released
Bug description:
When fixing bug 2042057, we are in the middle of dropping shiftfs
support. This consequently leads to an inconsistent test result for
6.5 variants on Jammy. And give us an impression that we're still
supporting shiftfs there.
After discussion with the team we can conclude that shiftfs will be
gone from 6.5 variants on Jammy.
This inconsistency does not have any impact as:
all the potential "users" of shiftfs (lxd basically) should be able to
automatically detect its availability and if shiftfs is not available they
should switch to idmapped mounts
(Thanks for Andrea's comment on this)
We can disable shiftfs related tests in ubuntu_overlayfs_smoke for 6.5
now.
