Before posting, let me say that I've search this forum and the net for
a solution without avail.
My workstation is WindowsXP, and have putty, puttygen, plink, pageant
and tortoisesvn. The hosting server is Linux Gutsy, there use apache
and mongrel to host the rails app. I can do deploy:setup and
deploy:check, also able to import files from my workstation to remote
repository, and then put a working copy on my workstation.
Deploy:cold gave errors on the compressed file, so changed the
deployment to use the repository on the server, this worked much
better, able to execute all the commands except when it came to
deploy:restart, when it gave me the error.

I am not sure what permissions it should be checking, as I can log on
and commit, etc ok.
Any help much appreciated.
