I've been successful at using Cap to run individual commands on remote
machines. In particular, I've run script/console, given it commands,
and retrieved the output:

However, it would be even nicer if I could have an expect-style
conversation with a remote application. That is, give script/console
a command, examine the result, and then give it another command, based
on what I received.

I have a few ideas along these lines, but nothing that I'm all that
pleased with. So, I'm hoping for clues, pointers, and suggestions.
