Hi Tom, No, the "release" is intentionally not a working copy. The repo_cache (in :deploy_to) is a bare repository, but you can still query *that* for certain information.
The console works, most of the time, see the open PR for improvements there, you might want to try and use that guy's fork until we merge it.
