Experiencing a situation with one of my online purchases at
TheTobi.com,  Not able to get my refund for the returned product at
tobi.  I bought a product(Steam iron) from them on Dec 2nd it was
sunday, these people accept order for purchases on sunday but they
don't accept any customer service calls for cancellation on sunday
they only work from monday to friday.  So I ended up calling them on
monday(dec 3rd) for cancellation, after reading about there product on
one of the forums http://www.themommyplaybook.com/forum/showthread.php?p=448917
I decided to cancel this product.  When I placed my order they said it
would take 5-6 weeks before I could receive the order due to high
demand, now when I called them just one day later to cancel the
product, they said it is already send to there shipping department and
they cannot cancel.  When I told them I don't need there product and
would like to cancel it customer rep said they won't be able to help
me since they already shipped it I got angry at the person and I told
them I was going to  call up american express since I bought the
product using amex card later on customer rep said I can go to any
post office and return the product after I received it and they would
give me full refund.  I received the product on Dec 15th and returned
at the post office right away it was a holiday season so I went to a
near by post office(this post office was different one then the people
who delivered my product), it  was crowded, Lady in the post office
said I don't need a receipt for returns and they would send it back
and Tobi people will pay for it since I didnot open the product and
was returning as it is.  That was my biggest mistake to not take a
return receipt nor atleast make a copy of the receipt on the delivered
product.  I only have the tracking number no other proof that I
returned the product, when I contacted the local post office where I
returned the product they tell me they don't even have the record of
the item was return from there post office as it was not scanned at
the postoffice and the manager at the postoffice says they usually
send all the return items right away, but cannot give me any kind of
confirmation since they don't have any records.  They also suggested
me to tell Tobi company to file a claim if they didnot receive the
returned item that way atleast USPS can start investigation, so now I
keep calling the Tobi they always tell me that they didnot receive any
information from there shipping department that they received the item
and keep telling me don't worry sir, you will get your refund back as
soon as possible and they never confirm weather they received the item
or not and they keep trying to sell me there other products instead of
giving my refund back.  it is a $163 worth product and I am so much
fed up with these people I filed complaint at American express and
even they are trying to resolve it now but for some reason I believe
that since I don't have proper receipt I might loose my money, does
anyone have any suggestion for me regarding what other ways I can try
to get back my money.  I tried even calling a USPS 1-800 number and
opening a ticket, but I feel so stupid not to take a receipt after
returning a product.  Now I don't know who is lying  is it USPS, or
Tobi.  I have the tracking number which just says item was delivered
at my address, I was hoping if USPS had returned the item since it is
the same tracking number it must have said it was delivered to the
Tobi but it still says it was delivered to me on Dec 15th.
