If you create the patch not at the component level, then it won't be able to apply the same patch to the branch. One solution to patch individual components. But I prefer patching from a higher and replacing "/src/" with "/<branch-version/src/". Then you can patch it once. e.g. if the branch is 3.1.0, please find and replace "/src/" to "/3.1.0/src/" in the patch file. regards, Ruchira.
