So, it may be useful to pre-configure utf-8 by default
in the next release.

I have not yet understand what is happening.
C-\ just toggles emacs IM, not OSX scripts like Command + space.
When emacs uses OSX IM (input-method = "MacOSX"),
it tries to synchronize IM status and scripts.
