Hello all, having Care2x communicate with your ECG (or any other electronic medical device) seems to be a remote vision for now.
Well, I think we are slowly nearing that vision. Sergey Stepanet from Ukraine pointed me to this link : http://www.lspace.nildram.co.uk/freeware.html This is a proxy program that provides a tcp front end for any remote serial link. That means that php can communicate with the serial device via this tcp front end. Of course, one needs to know the data format of the device first before being able to communicate with it, but that is just standard programming. So, to all who likes to make care2x communicate with their ECG (or maybe the thermometer monitoring the blood storage), feel free and have lots of fun.
