Hi,

Thank you very much for all your compliments.

With regard to accounting there is mixed feeling in
this part of the world too. Most of them use
accounting systems recommended by their respective
auditors.

I have seen weberp too which will be useful for medium
and large hospitals. I have checked out ck-erp which
is an open source erp (but runs only on linux). But
the best part is it runs within a Content Management
System (CMS). CMS's like Tikiwiki has a built in
workflow engine (Galaxia) which is quiet good. If we
could somehow make these three work it will be an
ideal solution for small/medium hospitals.

For large hospitals to compete with the saps and
siemens of the world, it all depends on which
framework we are going to adapt for 3rd generation
care2x. If we adapt J2EE's Spring Framework we could
utilise jBPM, Intalio or YAWL which are very good. It
is my personal opinion that a J2EE framework will
yield better results. Because we could integrate quiet
a few stable proven healthcare solutions following the
HL7 and IHE framework. Like dcm4chee as pacs, o3rws
for Radiology workstation and ImageJ for imaging. For
ERP we could turn to openbravo or opentaps which are
quiet mature.

Regards
