Hello all,

I am using Caret for retinotopic mapping. For mapping the volumetric phase data
of the polar angle mapping experiment to the surface, I am now using the
enclosing voxel algorithm. However, I noticed that other mapping algorithms
that use data from more voxels (such as metric_gaussian) can produce
significantly better results. Problem however is that any algorithm that
averages over voxels gives incorrect results near locations where the
arithmatic mean over voxels is different from the 'angular' mean (e.g. a polar
angle of 359 degr. and 1 degr is averaged to 180 degrees). Does anyone know of
a way to circumvent this problem?

Kind regards,
Mathijs Raemaekers
