I hope this is not a double post, i had some disconnection...
I was able to solve the all the previous presented errors by defining
macros and functions... that worked, until the current error, which i
think will be tougher to fix:
src/SQLDataSerialization.cpp:39:2: #error "only IEEE 754 platforms are
supported"
gmake: *** [src/SQLDataSerialization.o] Error 1
Pretty sad isnt it?
Any hope?

About log4cxx, we also never tried newer versions. The only risk I can
see is compilation errors due to changes in log4cxx API
