One thing which would be very helpful, is securing the service entry  
within the service application (e.g. setting it readonly)
We had some admins which locked out themselves from the service  
application, because they altered the /service entry  :-(
One possible solution would be to define the settings for the service  
application in the spring config, and to not allow to edit it from the  
web ui.
