Thanks Luke, I had looked over it before but was looking for something 
different then... It basically says what I was thinking would be the issue 
but wanted to confirm.
A requirement for us is that CAS be able to handle dynamic DNS 
names(virtual hosts) as well....  For example our liferay server currently 
has 20 virtual host communities and their urls do not equal servername + 
URI....Has anyone else ran across this limitation and found a way to make 
it work or maybe a way to limit my exposure? I have coded a change that 
does work with getting the URL from the HttpRequest but it does open up 
the issues noted in the document...
