It's been some time, so my memory of exact details is scarce. I recall there were a number of changes related to theming that affected our overlay, and I was glad that the deploy broke because our cas.properties file lacked that property. (We have ignoreUnresolvablePlaceholders="true".) It forced me to dig deeper into the changes and nudge our theming in the direction of the changes in vanilla CAS.
