Thanks. I'll contact them again and see if our counter-offer holds.

Subject: Re: [cas-dev] IDEA license reneal

I actively use IntelliJ both at work (via Android Studio) and for CAS (as
well as was a technical editor for an IntelliJ book) so I am happy to
write something up on my personal blog (though I suppose that means I
should more actively blog :-)).

Team,

I have been in contact with IntelliJ to see if we can renew our open
source license. The options they have presented to me are the following:

- Discount for commercial/personal IntelliJ IDEA licenses, OR

- One free license for all project contributors in exchange for 1)
IntelliJ IDEA logo displayed on your project's website and 2) a review of
IntelliJ IDEA in your project's blog or a personal blog of a project
contributor.

I know some of us have been using IDEA and license is about to expire
rather soon. Is anyone interested in the team in taking up their 2nd
offer?

Misagh

P.S: I somewhat fluctuate between IDEA and Eclipse personally, to not lose
what grasp I have on either one. Although keeping up with the shortcut
keys is really painful. Probably should turn on some sort of a key mapping
feature!
