I'd be very interested in taking a look at what you've got. I've
been working down the same exact path. I was working on
app.UseCas(new CasConfiguration { ... }) and basing the OWIN pieces
on the Microsoft.Owin.Security.Google source code
(<https://katanaproject.codeplex.com/SourceControl/latest#README>https://katanaproject.codeplex.com/SourceControl/latest#README).
I'm trying to refactor the existing .NET CAS Client so that we can
leverage as much common code for a 4.5+ (OWIN) and < 4.5
(System.Web) version of the library.
Scott,
I've probably made my life superficially easier by starting from
scratch, at least with regard to the existing client, but otherwise,
yes, it does sounds like we're trying almost exactly the same thing.
I've put my efforts up at https://github.com/willdean/owin-cas -
please bear in mind that the last OSS project I contributed heavily
to was TortoiseSVN, so that should give to some idea about the
strength (or not) of my Git skills....
All the action is in the xxxHandler class, and I've left lots of the
original Google-related dross in there - I also think it's very
poorly arranged with some absurdly large methods which cry out to be
refactored.
I have no emotional investment in what I've done so far - if you'd
like me to help on your 'official' version, then I'm happy to look at that.
Cheers,
Will
