We are in fact running the build for openjdk6, openjdk7, oraclejdk7.
Oraclejdk8 will also be another option in the travis mix.

We are not yet using any particular features of 7 or 8, and as Scott says,
things should continue to build (and likely behave) fine until we transition
to the new JDKs.

Hi,

I'm pretty confident we would build/run against Java 8, but we have the same
question for Java 7.

The source version is Java 6 and this should not be changed for
compatibility as Java 6 is still widely used.

The original build is building the CAS server using Java 6:
https://developer.jasig.org/bamboo/browse/CAS4-TIB.

It makes sense to have Travis do the build with Java 8: can we also build
the CAS server with Java 7?

Thanks.

Best regards,

J??r??me

Does it make sense for travis to start building CAS on Java8? Looks like we
have an ???oraclejdk8??? available in the build matrix.

Also, I made a few changes to the travis build script scripts, so we are now
pushing javadocs over to github pages once. (Used to happen per every option
in the build matrix)

I just tried building and running it locally. I was able to do so though I
didn't do extensive testing.
