Thanks. I generated release notes:

https://github.com/Jasig/cas/releases/tag/v4.0.1

I don’t suppose you have started work on 3.5.x, right? Don’t see the tag
yet.

Hi,

The 4.0.1 has been finally released. It should be available in a few hours
in the Maven central repository.

Best regards,

Jérôme

For my sake, it seems like it would make more sense to release a 3.5.3 with
your changes below.

We should also decide the fate of this pull before a 3.5.x release:

Hi,

I'm about to start cutting the releases (4.0.1 and 3.5.2.2).

Things are clear for version 4.0.1.

But for 3.5.2.2, I'm hesitating. If I take a look a the branch 3.5.x
(3.5.3-SNAPSHOT), it has other changes than the ones you listed:

https://github.com/Jasig/cas/pull/408

https://github.com/Jasig/cas/pull/319

https://github.com/Jasig/cas/pull/328

https://github.com/Jasig/cas/pull/321

https://github.com/Jasig/cas/pull/325

CAS-1364

CAS-1347

https://github.com/Jasig/cas/pull/300

https://github.com/Jasig/cas/pull/294

https://github.com/Jasig/cas/pull/201

What should go into the version 3.5.2.2? Only the issues you mentioned? Or
do we release a v3.5.3 with all listed changes above?

Thanks.

Best regards,

Jérôme

Hi,

I'm not sure I will have time today. At worst, at the beginning of January.

What's this release 3.5.2.2? I haven't seen any mention of it before...

Thanks.

We should be good on the release front. Docs are ready and releases cleaned
up and so are Apereo references. Here is a quick look:
https://github.com/Jasig/cas/releases

Jérôme, you should be able to proceed. I think two releases are in order:
3.5.2.2 and 4.0.1. I can take care of binary uploads and everything else.

Sure. I am planning to do a little bit of prep work this weekend, and
complete the following:

* Prep the docs and javadocs for 4.0.1: Just making sure 4.0.1 is visible
in
the list of CAS versions. We don’t actually have to generate new docs, do
we?
* Elaborate a bit on the new security filter’s role in the docs

I also would like us to start using Github’s “releases” for CAS downloads.
I have just received permission to edit content on Apereo, so I’d need to
make sure Apereo points properly to the download page. Is everyone OK with
this proposal? (This should in the future, among other things, allow us to
generate change logs rather nicely)

I am OK with that timeline. I’ll need a bit of time to prep anyway and will
need to coordinate with Apereo as well.

I don't see any volunteer for the release ;-) I can find some time next
Monday or otherwise in January to cut the 4.0.1 release...

Hi,

I didn't see many requests for bug fixes on 4.0 so I don't think we are in a
hurry.

But it's always good to fix bugs: +1

I'll handle #782 this week.

Team,

I have just realized that we could get started with the 4.0.x release
planning. There are 3 issues that I think need to be addressed before we
move forward. Here they are:

- https://github.com/Jasig/cas/issues/763

- https://github.com/Jasig/cas/issues/782

- My other proposal on breaking up the AuthenticationViaFormAction

Is there anything else that I am forgetting? By my count, there have been 4
issues that have gone into the 4.0.x release, since May 7th:

https://github.com/Jasig/cas/commits/4.0.x

Assuming we count the 3 above addressed as well, would it be a good time now
to cut a 4.0.1 release afterwards?
