One of our vendors has currently adopted a SSO architecture; unfortunately, they did not leave us with much in the way of configuring and setting this up - merely the ability to do so if we so choose.
our current institution uses CAS / LDAP to authenticate our users; however, the vendor only lists instructions for SAML (which requires a Public Key Certificate). Is there a way to integrate the two together, in such a manner that we can simply point our vendors software to a CAS URL and have it support the required SAML messages? Would we need to setup a SAML aware system and on some sub-layer connect CAS and SAML so we can continue on with our SSO environment? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
