Hello,

Being fairly new to CAS and having to implement it due to one system
within our scope only allowing CAS as an authentication package, I've
stumbled upon some documentation but I haven't been able to find
everything to suit the needs of the whole landscape.

I'm in a bit of a predicament since I currently have three systems that
need to have CAS do their authentication. The first system is the before
mentioned one. This works out of the box, so no problem. The second
system is a PeopleSoft environment where I've put in a custom login
module with a custom java class to make sure I can get tickets validated
with CAS. So far no problem. But now I've got a third system that needs
to be authenticated for, which is SAP. And colleagues with knowledge of
SAP are not eager to make custom changes for SAP so I'm left with the
login modules that SAP provides. Out of these options the one with SAML
seems the best one, also because when we upgrade the PeopleSoft system
(in planning already), we can use SAML for that too.

Now for my question; can I configure two methods in CAS without them
biting one another?

My guess for the answer is yes, but from the little documentation that
I've found I can't get it working and I have no clue as to what I'm
doing wrong. So if there's examples out there that I've missed, I'd be
glad to see them. Note: Getting SAP to accept SAML isn't the problem,
but configuring CAS to issue tickets that can be validated through
serviceValidate and samlValidate is.

Kind regards,
John van der Kooij
