Your thoughts on this will be much appreciated. We have cas 3 working with tomcat 5.5 good for a couple of years now. There is a need to extend the SSO to Livelink as we want to capitalize on our investments there. Livelink allows SSO if you set the REMOTE_USER environment variable correctly. This is from the documentation. How do I go about setting the REMOTE_USER in tomcat. Do I need to consider Apache and mod_auth_cas? Current set up is as follows. One cas server backed by a Sun Directory. Two web servers load balanced by CISCO ACE. Users hit the web app and get redirected to CAS.
