We have been given the go ahead to begin a major expansion of our CAS infrastructure. One first tasks I need to accomplish is to move our current CAS server to new hardware, enable the service management feature and implement a clustering or failover solution.
I am planning on upgrading to version 3.4.2.1 from our current version (3.1.x). We have an unknown number of current CAS clients and I have been asked to verify that this upgrade will not break any of our existing clients. Is it safe to assume that the 3.4.2.1 release is backward compatible with earlier versions? If not, is there a place that documents the known incompatibilities?
