hi brad,

you can build an IQ mixer with six connectorized
passive parts, which you can purchase from minicircuits
or synergy microwave, or others:

a) 90 degree phase splitter to split the LO,
b) a 0 degree phase splitter to split the RF
c) a pair of mixers
d) a pair of 250 MHz low pass filters

you can also purchase active IQ mixers from
linear technology and analog devices - i think
some of these chips have 500 MHz bandwidths and
you can get eval boards for them.

best wishes,

dan
