Hi all, Today I had a fun meeting with Andrew Moore at Cambridge university, who does some great stuff as part of netfpga (netfpga.org). By the end of it, I wanted some new toys, namely their latest virtex 7 board - https://www.digilentinc.com/Products/Detail.cfm?NavPath=2,719,1327&Prod=NETFPGA-10G-SUME
It's got a wild academic price of 1700 USD, loads of 13gb transceivers and dsps and whilst it's not in a particularly caspery form factor, I wonder if anyone has any compelling use case for the board. Netfpga have their own design flow, but it would be very possible to support the board in casper flow too. Is anyone interested in this board? Perhaps for use with the Hittite 26gs ADC - https://www.cfa.harvard.edu/twpub/ <https://www.cfa.harvard.edu/twpub/SMAwideband/TwentyGspsADC/ADC1X26G_Test_Report_20141030.pdf> SMAwideband <https://www.cfa.harvard.edu/twpub/SMAwideband/TwentyGspsADC/ADC1X26G_Test_Report_20141030.pdf> / <https://www.cfa.harvard.edu/twpub/SMAwideband/TwentyGspsADC/ADC1X26G_Test_Report_20141030.pdf> TwentyGspsADC <https://www.cfa.harvard.edu/twpub/SMAwideband/TwentyGspsADC/ADC1X26G_Test_Report_20141030.pdf> /ADC1X26G_Test_Report_20141030. <https://www.cfa.harvard.edu/twpub/SMAwideband/TwentyGspsADC/ADC1X26G_Test_Report_20141030.pdf> pdf <https://www.cfa.harvard.edu/twpub/SMAwideband/TwentyGspsADC/ADC1X26G_Test_Report_20141030.pdf> or as a correlator/beamformer back end? Basically, I'm looking for an excuse to buy one. Please, help me out :) Jack PS: read a bit about the what the board's being developed for here - http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~nz247/publications/zilberman2014sume.pdf
