Hello, I have a custom design of a spectrometer with RFSoC 4*2 board and now I want to read the data out of the board. The spectrometer data rate is less than 8 Gbit/s which can be received with a network interface card with 10GbE (sfp+ form factor | over fiber) capabilities. However, there is a QSFP28 100 GbE on the RFSoC4x2 board. Here are my questions:
1- In simulink: when I want to use an ethernet port with QSP28 do I have to use the 100 Gbit yellow block? or Can I use the 10 Gbit ethernet block? 2- In hardware: Is there a way to convert QSFP28 100G to 10GbE sfp+ ? Has anyone done this before? What are the part numbers and companies? 3- For hardware what I have in mind is either: A: 100 Gb Transceiver (QSFP28 form factor) + Fiber + Converter to 10Gb (sfp+ form factor)+ 10 Gb Transceiver + 10 Gb NIC. B: 100 Gb Transceiver to 10 Gb converter (QSFP28 to sfp+) + Fiber + 10Gb Transceiver + 10Gb NIC Are these scenarios possible? If not possible, what is the next best thing I can do if I don't want to implement 100 Gbit Ethernet?
