The future of astronomical discovery is being shaped by a new generation of telescopes and transformative upgrades to existing facilities. This session will showcase both innovative new instruments and major upgrades that are redefining how we observe the universe. These advancements promise significant leaps in observational power across spatial, spectral, and temporal resolution; field of view; sensitivity; and frequency range. Focusing on key instruments and upgrades that represent a step-change in capability, we will examine how these technical innovations will drive the next wave of discoveries, opening new frontiers in astronomy.
