I'm sure there will be no problem supporting the 2.5 branch while people
still use it, but most of the work to port things back will probably need to
be done by those who actually need the fixes, which keeps every happy. The
Castle team could still make official releases from the 2.5 branch with the
changes if there is demand.

At my place of work we have a release cycle of 1 or 2 releases a year, so we
usually take a little while to upgrade to the newest versions of everything.
We are currently shipping on .NET 3.5, however the first major release for
2011 will be on .NET 4.0 so I don't have any problems with requiring .NET
4.0.
