i don't understand all the inner workings of it and i've never written c++.
this is how i understand it:
1. resolve from kernel.
2. the kernel tracks the object as well as kernel metadata about the 
object... like disposable.
3. if you do not release the object from the kernel the metadata builds up 
in memory... the leak.
