It invokes NHibernate.IValidatable.Validate method which is
implemented by ActiveRecordValidationBase
good to know. Unfortunately, I can't benefit from this yet. I am constrained to use
the nasty data model described in an earlier thread. I created an AR Domain Model
to reflect the business, but still must perform my own data access until I fully migrate
the database. I am calling AR validation directly so i'll have to explicitly call IsValid on
the nested components until we can decide how to proceed.

Sure, but we don't have this information easily, do we? We'd need to
inspect the ARModel..
We sure don't. If the ARModel does not exposed this information easily, I
wonder if the raw NHibernate Models would be any better. They have
facilities to retrieve the associations.
